THE STRUCTURE THAT HOLDS THE SILK OFF THE EYE AREA
Every night the side of your face spends roughly eight hours against a pillow. The skin around the eye is under half a millimetre thick and has almost no oil glands of its own; it is the first part of a face to show what a night did to it.
An ordinary mask, silk or not, does not help with that. A flat band lies straight down on the eye, and the pillow presses the band into the skin exactly as it would press the skin on its own. The fabric is softer. The load is identical.
LUNVEIL is cut with two moulded contour cups. Each one rests on the brow bone and on the cheekbone and bridges the gap between them, so the middle is a pocket of still air. Nothing reaches the eyelid, the lash line or the skin beneath it.
The silk is 23-momme mulberry, grade 6A, on both faces - the densest weave the mills make. It slides over skin instead of gripping it, so there is no drag and no repeated folding.
In the morning the eye area has been left alone. That is the whole of the mechanism, and there is nothing else to it.

No claims here that are not simply the shape of the product
Two moulded cups bridge from the brow bone to the cheekbone. Between them is air. The pillow presses on the mask, and the mask holds its shape.
Most masks leak in one place: the flat strip that bridges the nose leaves a triangle of light on each side. This one is cut to seal there.
Cotton is absorbent and takes a good part of what you pressed in at eleven. Silk does not drink it, so it is still on your skin in the morning.
Nothing rests on the lash line, so nothing is bent, dragged or flattened overnight - extensions included.
One size, with a wide silk band and a flat elastic section, adjustable through a range that fits most adult heads. It does not ride up or twist into your hair.
Cool water, a little silk wash, pressed out in a towel and dried flat. Washed that way the silk keeps its lustre for years.

THE TOTAL DARKNESS THAT CHANGES A NIGHT
Melatonin is switched off by light, and the switch is more sensitive than it feels. A streetlamp through a gap in the curtain, a standby LED, the sky getting light before five - all of it registers, and it registers through a closed eyelid.
Most masks leak in the same place. The flat strip of fabric bridges the nose and leaves a small triangle of light on each side of it, and that is precisely where your eye is.
LUNVEIL is shaped to sit down against the bridge of the nose and close that gap, while the cups hold the silk clear of the eye itself. Sealed and not touching, at the same time.
Mulberry silk is also a poor conductor and moves moisture away rather than holding it, so the mask does not become warm and damp against the face the way a cotton one does.
The result is a room that is properly dark, with nothing pressing on you to remind you that you are wearing anything at all.
I'LL TRY IT →THE CIRCULATION THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Morning puffiness under the eye is largely fluid. Lymph has no pump of its own; it moves when the tissue around it moves and it does not drain out of an area that is compressed.
Sleep on your side and the weight of your head goes through the pillow into the eye area and stays there for hours at a time. Whatever pooled overnight is still pooled at seven.
With the contour cups in place the pillow never reaches that tissue. It presses on the moulded shell instead, and the area underneath is left uncompressed for the whole night.
That is a mechanical fix to a mechanical problem, and it is the one thing a cream cannot do, however good the cream is - because a cream is on the skin and the load is on top of it.
It is also why the effect shows up first thing in the morning rather than gradually. There is simply nothing pressing on the area any more.

STOP LEAVING YOUR NIGHT CREAM IN THE PILLOWCASE
A cotton pillowcase is absorbent by design. That is what makes it comfortable, and it is also what makes it take a good share of everything you applied before bed.
Friction finishes the job. Cotton grips skin and drags it, and over a night of turning over it physically wipes product away from the places you most wanted it to stay.
Silk does neither. The fibre is smooth and it does not wick the way cotton does, so what you pressed in stays pressed in and goes on working through the night.
And because the cups hold the mask clear of the eye area entirely, there is no rubbing at all on the one part of the face where the product is most expensive and the skin is thinnest.
Nothing about your routine changes. You put on what you always put on, and then it stays there instead of ending up on the pillow.
ADD IT TO MY ROUTINE →One product, one size, three colours - made for every face and every kind of skin.

The Contour 3D shape never touches the eye area. Zero pressure on the most fragile skin on the face, all night, in any sleeping position.
With the friction taken away, the skin is not folded into the same lines night after night by the pillowcase.
Unlike cotton, silk does not absorb your creams and serums. They stay on the skin and go on working for the whole night.
A smooth, breathable surface that carries moisture away rather than holding it, so nothing gets warm, damp or irritating.

What it is woven from, how it is built, and what it rests on. Three things you can check for yourself the night it arrives.

THE PART MOST MASKS GET WRONG
Most of the silk-mask market competes on the silk. Momme counts go up, grades go up, and the mask itself stays the same object it always was: a flat rectangle held against the face by an elastic band.
That shape decides what actually happens at night. A flat band transmits the pillow straight through to the skin, and it lies directly on the lash line, whatever it is woven from.
So the fabric is the second decision, not the first. Get the structure right - hold the material off the eye entirely - and then the quality of the silk starts to matter. That is the order this mask was designed in.
We started from an irritating observation: a great deal of money goes into the eye area in the evening, and eight hours of pressure and cotton undoes a fair amount of it by morning.
Every mask we bought to test had the same problem. Beautiful silk, sometimes very expensive silk, wrapped around a shape that pressed it flat onto the eye.
So we designed the shape first and chose the silk second. Two moulded cups that carry the load on bone rather than on skin, a band cut deep enough to seal at the nose, and 23-momme mulberry silk over the top of it.
That is the entire company. One product, one size, three colours, and 90 nights to send it back if it is not for you.
— the LUNVEIL team
Momme is a weight measure: the higher it is, the denser the weave. At 23 momme this is about a fifth more fibre than standard silk, which is what makes it genuinely opaque, durable enough to wash repeatedly, and smooth rather than slippery. Grade 6A is the top grade of the raw filament, and both faces of this mask are silk - not silk over polyester.
Cotton is absorbent, so it takes up a share of whatever you applied before bed and it holds moisture and warmth against your face. It also grips skin and drags it, which is what folds the same lines in night after night.
Silk does the opposite on both counts: it repels moisture, so your products stay on your skin, and it slides rather than pulls.
Side sleepers are who it was designed around, because side sleeping is where the pressure on the eye area comes from. The band is wide enough to spread the strap tension instead of digging in, it does not tangle in hair, and the flat elastic section lets you set it once and leave it.
The opposite, in our experience. Cotton traps heat and moisture; 23-momme silk carries moisture away and does not hold warmth against the skin. The moulded cups also leave an air space around the eyes rather than sealing fabric against them.
Here is the honest answer. Sleep creasing is caused by the face being compressed and folded against a pillow for hours at a time; take the compression away and you stop adding to it. Lines you already have will not disappear because you changed a mask, and we will not pretend otherwise. What this does is stop the nightly folding of the one area that shows it fastest.
Sleep in it for as long as you like inside 90 nights. If it is not for you, email us and we send you a prepaid returns label and refund the order in full - return postage is on us, and there is nothing to explain.
