The mask

What makes it different from a flat silk mask?

The shape. Two moulded cups hold the silk clear of your eyes, so nothing rests on your eyelids or your lashes, and the bridge is moulded to follow the nose so no light gets in underneath it. Fabric alone cannot do either of those things.

Can I really open my eyes underneath it?

Yes, and it is worth doing on the first night — it is the clearest way to feel the difference. There is clear space over your lids and lashes.

Is it genuinely blackout?

Yes. Almost every mask that leaks is leaking at the nose rather than through the cloth, and that gap is what the moulded bridge closes. The silk itself is 23 momme, dense enough that nothing passes through the weave.

Will it stay on if I sleep on my side or move a lot?

It is designed around it. The band is wide so the hold is spread rather than concentrated in one line, the strap adjusts through a wide range, and because nothing presses on your eyes there is no reason to push it off in your sleep.

I get hot at night. Will it be stifling?

Less than a foam or polyester mask. Mulberry silk moves heat and moisture away rather than holding them, and the cups leave open air around your eyes instead of pressing padding against them.

Can I wear it with lash extensions?

Yes. Nothing rests on your lashes at any point.

What size is it?

One size, cut deep enough to sit from the brow to the top of the cheek, with a strap that adjusts through a wide range. If it does not sit right on yours, that is what the 90 nights are for.

Buying and delivery

How much is delivery?

Free, on every UK order, with no minimum.

How long does it take?

Orders placed before 2pm on a working day leave us the same day, everything else the next working day, and most orders arrive within 2–4 working days. You get a tracking link when it is on its way.

What if I do not get on with it?

Email loominouscontact@gmail.com inside 90 nights. We send a prepaid returns label — you do not pay to send it back — and refund the order in full within 5 working days of it reaching us.

Looking after it

How do I wash it?

By hand, in cool water, with a little silk wash or non-biological detergent. Press the water out in a towel rather than wringing it, and dry it flat away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not tumble dry, do not bleach, and keep the iron away from the contour cups.

How often?

Every week or two is plenty for most people, and more often if you use rich night creams.
